Proofing Profiles

Use our ICC printer profiles within Photoshop for the most accurate on-screen viewing (soft-proofing) of your images before printing.

Before soft-proofing to work, your monitor must be calibrated and profiled using a good colorimeter.

Use ICC printer output profiles only for soft-proofing. Do not convert your image files to the printer's color space. Keep the image data in your normal working color space; i.e. Adobe98rgb, sRGB or CMYK(SWOP2).

Photoshop's default working space is sRGB but many users prefer a wider color space like AdobeRGB(1998).

Where do I put ICC printer profiles on my computer?

Mac OSX:  HD/Library/Colorsync/Profiles

Windows 2000/XP:  C:/Windows/system32/spool/drivers/color

(After copying into the /color folder, right click on the profile and choose "install").
